Alive In Stereo Presents: The Final Ghost Dance

This Week: An Alive In Stereo Special Presentation. It's The Ghost Dance with your Host Mike Parme, Esq. This happens to be the last show he did for WVFI, the Voice of the Fighting Irish in South Bend, IN., before moving back to California to pursue his dual-career in Lawyering and Record Labeling (Double Threat!) He was kind enough to let me post this here. We'll be on vacation for a couple more weeks, but you can expect more surprises like this in the meantime. Enjoi!

Also, Mike's label, Holy Smoke Records, has just released an album by the San Francisco band Dimples, who we featured here on the show in episode No. 23 - Vinyl, Vinyl, Vinyl. Please visit the website (it's under construction, but he assures me that it will be a fully functional Death Star soon...) and visit the Dimples' Myspace to checkout upcoming shows.

Show No. 29 - August 5, 2009 - Encore IV

If you know your Roman Numerals, then you'll know that this is Alive In Stereo's fourth Encore Presentation (ie. It's a re-run). Sorry, someone just had to have a surprise birthday trip to Chicago this weekend... So, from the ether of our humble Slowshare beginnings comes one of my favourite episodes of AiS ever.

"Armenian teens, windspeed in "Gs", disgusting references to your prurient interests and infatuation with physical abnormalities...this show had it all! I was rolling." - Michael Parme, Esq.

Enjoi! Be back next week with somethin' new!

Episodes 24 & 25 - Now Available for Direct Download

Sorry for the delay getting these posted to da'blog, but I hod to do some scrambling once it dawned on me that I had skipped an episode. So, for those keeping score at home, Show No. 25 did debut before Show No. 24, but we're keeping the order as is. There's no do-overs in podcasting. Anyways...

Here's a very special behind-the-scenes look at the recording of Show No. 25. I wouldn't expect to many more of these in the future.

Show No. 24 - Neil Young
Podcast Information: It's the mysterious 24th episode of AiS! This week: If you hadn't guessed by the title, its our first ever artist retrospective. In honor of Neil's Archive release earlier this month, we've dedicated an entire show to Mr. Young's early years and that of his long time backing band - Crazy Horse. Enjoi!

Show No. 25 - Guest DJ: Seth Brooks
Podcast Information: Seth Brooks drops some Record Store vinyl on us from his most recent jaunt accross the Atlantic to the U.K. And, we've hit a milestone (of a sort) with our 25th Show. Who'd've thought we'd make it this far? Enjoi!
Featuring: Fresh Raspberries, new underground pop from Motown psychsters Outrageous Cherry, electro-tango from the Gotan Project, and one hilariously misguided attempt at a Jamaican accent. Bumboclot!
